Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the heart of Albuquerque at 4330 Coors Blvd SW, Sanchez Tacos #5 is a must-visit taco restaurant that offers an authentic and vibrant taste of traditional Mexican street fare. Specializing in a variety of meats, their menu is a celebration of rich flavors and textures crafted with passion and authenticity.

The star of the menu at Sanchez Tacos #5 is undoubtedly their selection of hearty meats including Asada (cut-up steak), Carne Asa Picada, Al Pastor (marinated pork), and more adventurous options like Tripas (fried beef intestines), Lengua (beef tongue), and Buche (pork stomach). Each taco is served on a warm, fresh corn tortilla, topped with just the right combination of onion and cilantro, finished with a squeeze of lime and fresh radishes, creating a perfect burst of zest and freshness in every bite.

If you’re in the mood for something a little more substantial, their quesadillas and tortas offer a delicious variation. The quesadillas feature a 12-inch tortilla loaded with melted cheese, your choice of succulent meat, and fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomato, cilantro, onion, and avocado, crafting a mouthwatering balance of creamy, savory, and bright flavors. Tortas—served on perfectly toasted six-inch bread—are equally satisfying, offering a handheld feast packed with tender meats and fresh toppings.

Dining at Sanchez Tacos #5 is casual yet vibrant, capturing the lively spirit of a true taqueria. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch while out shopping or looking for a no-fuss dinner filled with comforting, flavorful eats, this spot delivers with friendly service and speedy preparation. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, inviting you to savor each bite slowly or fuel your day with bold, satisfying flavors on the go.

The glowing reviews from locals and travelers alike speak volumes: Erica Morkunas raves about traveling from Belen just to enjoy the mouthwatering carne asada tacos and quesadillas, praising the well-seasoned meats and just-right balance of fresh accompaniments. Kellie Masterson calls Sanchez Tacos #5 the best truck in their fleet, and Jessica Mejia applauds their excellent customer service coupled with high-quality food at reasonable prices. Beverly Abeita and Al Dosha highlight the freshness and deliciousness of their tacos and burritos, making it clear that Sanchez Tacos #5 has won over the community with its authenticity and consistency.

For anyone seeking genuine, flavorful Mexican street tacos in Albuquerque, Sanchez Tacos #5 offers an unmatched culinary experience—rich in tradition, bold in taste, and satisfying in every sense of the word.

I live in Belen and come to Albuquerque just for these tacos. The flavor is wonderful. It's simple and very tasty and the prices are fair. I had the carne asada tacos and a carne quesadilla. There was lots of flavorful meat and just enough greens and guacamole on quesadilla. I recommend to give them a shot when your out shopping or just looking for good simple street tacos.
